Common questions
How do I play?
Tap a free card to move it into the tray. When two cards with the same rank and the same color meet in the tray (like 7♥︎ and 7♦︎), they clear. If every tray slot fills before a pair clears, the level ends. In the app, tap ? on the home screen for the full guide.
Why can't I tap a card?
Darker cards are blocked: another card sits on top of them, or cards are touching both their left and right sides. Clear the cards around them first.
Is every level winnable?
Yes. Every board is dealt so it can be cleared. If you're stuck, Hint looks ahead and shows a move that can still win, and Shuffle rearranges the board while keeping it winnable.
How do I get more Hints, Undos and Shuffles?
Clearing a level earns a Hint and an Undo, and every third level (and every challenge level) earns a Shuffle. A combo of 10 earns a bonus Hint. Tandem Plus adds a daily gift of a Hint and a Shuffle.
What is Tandem Plus?
An optional one-time purchase that adds four more table colors, four more music tracks and a daily gift. It's not a subscription, and the game is fully playable without it.
I bought Tandem Plus on another device or reinstalled the app
Open the shop (the crown on the home screen) and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used to buy it. Purchases don't carry over between iPhone and Android.
I'd like a refund
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from: Apple's Report a Problem page, or your Google Play order history under Payments & subscriptions.
Will my progress move to a new phone?
Progress is saved on your device. It comes with you when you restore a backup of your device onto a new one (iCloud or Google backup). There's no online account, so progress can't move between iPhone and Android.
Can I start over?
Yes: Settings › Reset All Progress. Your settings and any Tandem Plus purchase are kept.
The sound or music doesn't play
Check Settings › Sound in the app. On iPhone, Tandem follows the silent switch; on Android it uses the media volume.
Text or colors are hard to read
Turn on Settings › Tint red and black cards to give red and black cards differently colored faces. Tandem also follows your device's text size, up to a size the game's layout can hold.
